Joachim Karthäuser
Joachim Karthäuser has over twenty years of experience in the international chemicals and plastics industry. His functional experience includes: R&D, sales, technical management, business development, evaluation of major EU R&D projects, start-up and financing of companies. For Re-Turn, Mr Karthäuser is acting as member of the board and project leader for EU- and Norwegian government funded projects relating to wind power and nano-technology.
His employment history is as follows:
Re-Turn AS, Fredrikstad, Norway, 2009 to present. Technical Director, Composites. Project leader for Eurostars/Eureka project“NMEG”, gelcoats for windpower blades. Project leader “DE-ICE”, conductive nano-technology additives e.g. for de-icing of wind power blades and off-shore installations.
Climeon AB, Stockholm, Sweden, 2011 to present, member of the board
SiOx Machines AB, Sollentuna, Sweden, 2007 to present. Founder, chairman, CTO. Development and sale of supercritical/liquid CO2 equipment mainly to the plastics and rubber industry.
AGA / Linde Gas AG, Stockholm, Sweden, 2003 to 2007. GM, High Pressure Gas Applications. Development and commercialization of liquid CO2 cleaning technology.
NKT Research A/S, Copenhagen, Denmark, 2000 to 2003. Deputy Director. Research and business development in the fields of plastics for HV cables, oil- and gas pipelines, plasma surface treatment, CF composites etc.
Shell Chemicals, Amsterdam, Chester, Stockholm, 1990-2000. Researcher, Technical Manager, Sales Manager.
Joachim Karthäuser is physical chemist and received his Ph.D. from Göttingen University in Germany. He is a member of DECHEMA.
